On Premises Liquor Licence
An on-premises liquor licence allows for the supply of liquor only upon the premises, and only when another product or service is also provided to patrons.
An on-premises licence may provide a wide range of products or services, including most commonly food, entertainment and accommodation.

Types of businesses that are eligible for an on-premises licence include:

Live music, arts and cultural events

Cinemas, theatres and art galleries

Barbers, hairdressers and beauticians

Accommodation venues, such as motels or large B&Bs

Restrictions on minors
Generally minors are permitted within on-premises venues, however special restrictions apply for 'public entertainment' venues such as nightclubs. For such licence types, minors must be in the company of a responsible adult at all times. Note, that even though cinema and theatre sub-types are classified as 'public entertainment' venues, the Liquor Regulations permit minors on these premises' without restriction.
